FYI: Longtime Scout Derrick Jensen Died Last Week

He had been suffering from ALS for about 5 years.
Raised the 12 Man flag in 2013.
Former NFL player w/two Super Bowl wins as a Raider.
Was with the Hawks organization for 22 years and highly respected.

Didn't see anything posted in here regarding his recent passing. He was just 60 years old.

RIP.

Read that earlier. Sounds like he was very respected by the franchise.

That was a very enjoyable article. He had a remarkable life and profound impact on people. Not to mention he discovered Lockette, Weaver and Babineaux and many other overlooked talent. ALS is just horrible and I'm glad they renamed the draft room in his honor.

Indeed. Had an eye for under the radar talent to be sure.

A good life - albeit a far too short one.

There are so many components to a strong organization that go largely unknown by the public.

Derrick Jensen was just such an example.
