Going to miss two games

For the first time ever, I won't be able to watch the next two games because I'm going to be on a cruise! I mostly lurk here because I'm not very social, but I'm bringing my 12 flag to Belize, Mexico, and Honduras. Is that something people still post pics of here or is it overdone? Also, learning how to use a GoPro, any suggestions are open, not sayin "tips" to this crowd. I know better lol. Go Hawks!

Nobody speaks for everyone, but I for one think seeing the 12 flag in new places would be great.

I would say though that if you want more tips for your gopro, the best place to seek that advice is in the "Lounge" Forum. People ask for and receive advice on a wide array of things in there. It also won't get muddled off the front page as quickly as it will in this forum. You can find that forum here:

Do enjoy your trip. I myself am leaving the country for awhile, but I will be able to stream the games while I'm gone, so although I may not catch them live (due to time zones and activities), I'll catch them all.

I'm thinking AT&T plus DirecTV subscription should take care of you for the games, right?

Ah thank you for the advice on the forum, will do. I have Sprint so no directv for me but my spirit will be there!

Cruise ships have tvs and will probably show the game. If not bars at the ports will.

I have found that for me, a DVR at home with a slingbox is the perfect tool for a travelling Sports fan.

Enjoy your cruise! And yes, pictures of the 12 flag in as many places as you can get. Extra bonus points for a picture of it on or in one of those Emergency Boats. :2thumbs:

I hate cruises. It's a human zoo and you never get enough time in places you dock. I'll never do it again.

I guess if you like pigging out and drinking to excess they are awesome.

I was in the british virgin islands this past july.. at a bar called Foxys on jost van duyk... walked in and it had three 12 banners across the ceiling.. had to get a pic under the flags... take your 12 flag with you at scenic areas and capture the moment.... as for missing the game ... they may be able to get it on a screen at one of the bars on ship... maybe in the casino..anyhow .... have a great time and GO HAWKS

Enjoy the cruise! Im also going to be sailing during the next game against the Packers but hoping that because we're off the coast of Mexico, the satellite will bring it to us.

I'm a fan of 12 flag pix in different locations.
I keep a spare in my vehicle for that very reason.

I've done this exact trip last year! Amazing time. All great stops too! Have a blast! But like others were saying, the cruise should have a sports bar with TV's and such. Depends on the Cruise line I guess. But You should be able to still watch the game.

I'm hoping you get some pictures that will reroute this thread to The Shack, if you know what I mean. Enjoy the sun and fun!

If you don't mind me asking, what cruise line are you taking? I'm thinking about doing a cruise this upcoming summer.

I watched the Bills game on a cruise ship this year. It wasn't broadcast in the room, but one of the bars onboard showed it. The room TVs had all the major network channels, so you may luck out for the Sun game (but who knows which game they'll carry). The room TVs did not have ESPN or NFL Network, but I bet they'll have a bar that caters to the NFL crowd for the nationally broadcast games. On my cruise they had a pre-function drinking game/activity prior to the Monday Night broadcast.

Sunday should be a non-port day and Thursday you should be back onboard before game time. I'd check with the information desk when you get onboard, they'll be able to let you know what's available.

The downside is that you may have to watch the GB game with a bunch of GB fans. I had to watch the Bills game with a bar full of Bills fans. There were only two other Hawks fans besides myself. I'm not sure that'd be an issue for the Lambs (are there any Rams fans left?).

Besides, if you walk into the bar all dudded up in Seahawks gear, ask the bartender politely but earnestly, (s)he'd probably change one of the channels to the game for you. Have had to do that numerous times over the years.
