Another tie game this week. So far I don't see anyone protesting. Nobody calling an end for tie games. If Seattle does it it must be wrong. Anyone else then meh. Whatever.

The only problem I had with it is I missed the entire 1st quarter of the NOLA game because of it  But I'm curious if ties 2 consecutive weeks has happened before.

I think ties are ridiculous and should go away. Just like life, you win some you lose some. Sorry that's as angry as I can get about it.

Remember we're less than 24 hours out from these ties, so most of the hot takes will start rolling out in the next three or four days probably.

Okay. Maybe I was just looking for trouble. Sorry bout that.

and sometimes in life you end up in a situation where you didn't gain or lose something and neither did the other party

To keep playing until they guys falls down is not going to help the game. They play 25% more football when the game ends in a tie - at some point it simply has to end.

All good man. :2thumbs:

You have a right to be on edge. Very close game that could have gone either way.

Very easy and exciting solution: go to a college-style overtime that guarantees a winner, is fun, and doesn't take a whole lot of extra time.

Ties really make no sense in football because there's no 'points' system in the standings like there are for ties or OT wins/losses in the NHL and soccer. In the NFL, all they do is add another layer to the convoluted seeding system for the playoffs.

Just switch to the college system already, or make it sudden-death with the current rule of both teams having a possession.
