  • Today proved we need a capable long snapper. The saving a few bucks thing almost bit us in the back side today. I hope we bring Gresham back immediately.

  • I hear that he's back in Texas, hanging out at high school FB games.

One of the worst decisions by this FO, IMHO

Not having him cost us 4 points. That is a game-changing amount of points.

  • Not to be contrarian, but the blocked extra point was in no way the long snapper's fault. That was a perfect snap. The kick was low.

This is very true but I'd like to say the failed fg turned the entire unit into zombies. The whole process, from kicker to line, needs to run like clockwork. When something gets it out of sync, it takes numerous reps to get it back. Just like last year's small pat glitches.

This dude needs canned like yesterday.

  • I texted a buddy that the cheeping out on long snapper might come back and haunt them. Not talking about the extra point either, the missed field goal before that is the play I am referring to.

  • it boggles my mind that Gresham is not on this team, I really hope that we don't learn the hard way because it nearly cost us today.

So when they have a bad play they need multiple good plays before they're mentally right ? Sounds legit.

How do we explain a blocked PAT followed by a successful FG ? Wouldn't they have to wait until the next game to get one right ?

  • No doubt. That moron Frese with his low snap cost the Seahawks 3 points. Time to bring back Gresham.

The blocked FG looked like the guy went right thru the gap to his left.
It looked like he was concentrating so hard on a good snap, he was late to his block.

  • Even though it seems obvious as to the answer to our LS situation, I really doubt PCJS make a move here. Frese has been working with the kicking team since camp and now 5 games in, they probably don't want to disrupt the continuity.

Getting rid of Gresham made little sense given the risk of proceeding with an unproven player, and count me as one who wishes Gresham was back here ASAP, but I just doubt a move will be made this season.
