  • Can someone clarify for me, who's fault was it on the Julio TD and the Toilolo TD? Sherman on both?

We don't know what the coverage was.

    But it looked like Sherm.

  • Definitely looked like it. We do run some cover 3 variants where the corner will stay up in the flat and the two safeties as well as the other corner will play 3 deep, but it didn't look like that was the case.

Communication was off and that probably has a lot to do with the missing field general.

  • I know for sure the first one was on Sherm. He was the only player playing man. No defense only has one player playing man. Either that or the rest of the team was wrong but I doubt that.

  • Pete just said in his press conference that Sherman was heated because of someone else's coverage; implying that the TD was not his responsibility.

I don't know, the way the team confronted him, it didn't seem his anger was justified.

Sherman is saying now that communication with McCray feel apart. Saying that they need to work on it; upset that they gave up a scoring drive when they did.

    Called them "bogus TD's."

  • He was pissed because it should have been a statement game for our defense, and it was up to that point

It was the fault of communication, not an individual player. They were playing two different coverages. That should have been recognized and a time out called

  • Sherman wasn't playing the right coverage. Don't blame your faults on other people.

That was a huge unnecessary distraction and it took him until almost the end of the game before he got his head back in things.

  • Yeah, I think Sherm was blaming McCray but in truth it was his fault.
