I'm a huge ET III fan but he is playing like trash missing tackles, over pursuing. He looks like he's afraid to tackle. I'm gonna call it how I see it. Feel free to bash me.

Yeah he was awful today, I'm not going to make excuses for him but his track record says he will get it figured out.

He doesn't really tackle anymore, just kinda throws his body behind his shoulder and it simply isn't enough to bring competent ball carriers down.

I would love to hear someone ask Pete about ET and lack of wrap up (always)

I think he's lost the closing speed he used to have and instead of wrapping up and just getting the guy down, he's lunging with his head down. Somebody needs to tell him it's OK to just make a routine tackle instead of always going for a hit.

Was the biggest surprise of the day. I'm chalkin' it up to being overhyped for opening day.

He'll be fine.

Right?

Tell me he'll be fine.

I think too often we see ET duck his head and shoot for the ball. Sometimes he misses. Today he missed alot.

Tell me he'll be fine.

Or he got married and didn't commit this off-season.

He seemed to guess wrong and misread things a lot today. Bad day at the office.

He hasn't wrapped up in a few years. He always worries me because he never sees the target. He is paralysis waiting to happen.

I noticed this in preseason too. It appears he's trying to lay hat, instead of making the safe play i.e. a form tackle.

Sometimes you drop passes, sometimes you miss tackles. It just sucks that Thomas had so many whiffs today, and that those whiffs hurt Seattle so badly.

Out of character indeed. But so were a lot of other things. I'm sure he will get it sorted out, as will the rest.

I'm convinced that ET and Lockett's families were tied up in a basement somewhere with their live's riding on the outcome of the game. They were doing everything they could to set the Seahawks back.

Damn shame because I love them both.

Poor by his usual standards, but not terrible.

Do you remember Brian Russell?
