Ladies and Gentlemen,

As the ownership of Seahawks.NET has indicated, we do not wish to begin and host a topic as divisive as demonstrations revolving around standing or not standing during the playing of our National Anthem. These threads have appeared, and they have been vanquished accordingly.

However,

Fresh information has now been issued and confirmed (by numerous sources) that the Seahawks will be performing a "Pregame Demonstration of Unity" during the anthem, which involves the interlocking of arms among players of different races. See Doug Baldwin quote below:

"We are a team comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds," Baldwin said during the video. "And as a team, we have chosen to stand and interlock arms in unity. We honor those who have fought for the freedom we cherish. And we stand to ensure the riches of freedom and the security of justice for all people. Progress can and will be made only if we stand together."

Yes, this is a Seahawks-related occurrence, but it is the controversy surrounding the issue that has the potential of dividing our membership, not uniting it. We will no longer provide a platform by which these very sensitive issues can be discussed, regardless of intent.

As always, we thank each and every one of you for your understanding, and for your contributions to the finest Seahawks message board in the known Galaxy.

Go Hawks!!!
