Well good to know were all on the same page, I think over the off season we have discussed these exact things pretty in depth.

FB seems to be the most wide open position as far as competition. How many do they keep?

Brandon Williams, signed by the Seahawks in free agency this past April, has also been an early standout in Carroll's eyes.

"Brandon Williams has done a really nice job," Carroll said. "You guys don’t know much about us picking him up, but he played for Carolina the last few years and we’re very fortunate to get him. He’s a very good special teamer, but he’ll add to that [competition].”

Hard not to root for Brandon Williams after reading his story.

2 years ago he was Carolina's 'TE of the future'. It would be interesting to hear what happened between then and his release from the Panthers.

Looks like he has been plagued by a series of injuries. Knee then groin then broken foot. Panthers moved on and then Dolphins moved on to younger players. Brandon appears to be added as a #2 move type receiver and red zone receiver .... for depth. If he is going to emerge as a late bloomer, time is of the essence.
