I'd rather grab Cedric Thornton, who we've already been linked to.

Sad to see him go. Mebane was one of my favorite Hawks.

That said, I understand the FO approach of not overpaying for non-elite players. Mebane was good but he's probably not worth what other teams were willing to pay.

On the flip side, I am extremely happy that the Seahawks are finally a team that makes the tough decisions to keep the team competitive instead of relying on sentimental attachment to put people in the seats.

I thought he'd be our Wilfork and with us until the end. Well next man up.

This one hurts. Really wanted him to play his whole career as a Seahawk.
