Ugg... I sure hope that game was just an abberition rather than an exposure. I was concerned that our recent wins were more a product of who we were playing... weak and/or banged up teams except for the Steelers, and we know how that game went even though we won. Then throw in our home loss to this week's opponent and I'm not really sure what to think. Our injured guys can't get back soon enough, but when? Especially a healthy Marshawn. Hopefully, they use that game as motivation and take out the Cards. Wouldn't that make everybody feel better?

GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Ban them all.

Well, you might want to ban me then, because I'm worse than a Cardinals fan -- I'm a Seahawks fan who will be rooting for the Cardinals on Sunday. About all I can say in my defense is that I've never been a "traitor" before. In my trial for treason, I'm pleading "special circumstances," which are detailed below.

If Minnesota beats the Packers, then it doesn't matter what we do. But if the Pack wins (they're 3 point favorites), then we become the 6 seed and Minnesota the 5 -- if we lose to the Cards. We go to Lambeau for the wildcard round, and the Vikes go to Washington.

This helps the Seahawks get to the SB, because it's the next two rounds of the playoffs that really matter. Since we've all shared in the painful experience of losing last year's SB, we definitely want the easiest possible route through the playoffs.

Minnesota can beat the Skins, though it's not a certainty that they would. And we can certainly beat the Packers on the frozen tundra. Would we win? Probably, and it'd be fun to give the Pack a chance for revenge for last year's NFCCG.

If both wild-card teams win, that's when it gets very interesting. Minnesota goes to Arizona, and we go to Carolina. Minnesota was injured on defense when we blew them out a few weeks ago. But even so, they went to Arizona on 4 days rest and came within a hair of beating the Cards. So a healthy Vikings team has a really, really good chance to take down the Cardinals this time around.

If beat Carolina, our toughest test, then we'd get a huge reward. We'd play the Vikings in Minnesota in the NFCCG. That wouldn't be as much of a blowout as it was when we played them recently, but still, we'd almost certainly win.

A lot of cards would have to fall just right for all this to take place (including Arizona's Cards). A 5 seed has never hosted a 6 seed in the playoffs before. But wow, just think about it. Now that would be an NFCCG to remember!

^^ I would prefer that the team go into the playoffs with a win rather than a 2 game losing streak.

Yes Green Bay doesn't look very good recently, but Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers and Lambaeu in January is still Lambaeu in January. Neither is something you want to have to face in the first round.

If it works out that way, so be it, but I'd rather not. More to the point, I think it's important to wash that vile taste from last game away before the playoffs.

It's hardly a sure thing that Minnesota would win in Washington (if they get the 5 seed). The Seahawks certainly can win in Green Bay this year (that's a little more of a sure thing). However, what I believe really matters is how many truly great teams you have to beat to make it to the SB. The Cards, Panthers, and Hawks are easily the greatest teams in the NFC. Will the Cards have to face both the Hawks and the Panthers to get to the SB? Will the Panthers have to face both the Hawks and the Cards? Any team that can get away with facing only ONE of the other two teams is the one I predict will make it to the SB this year.

Interesting take from an Arizona fan:

"Not a fan. I can get banned for saying **** but it's okay to post some anorexic chick on a regular basis. How is that hot anyway? It's not for me, I like my porn to be amateur wives, real women, not some starved woman trying to make a buck. I want me some well fed woman with some meat so when I smack it and it shakes I know I'm having an effect on it. When I hit it I want to see some shake and ripples man"'

It's nice to see some activity on a division rivals board. Damn I love football.
