I always figured it was because of copyright laws. But I don't really know for sure.

They used to have a link to the play, but now are showing one embedded in a tweet.

Copyright. You can't use NFL film without consent (which is expen$$$ive). Copyright does not cover the recording of a television showing a program, which is why YouTube rarely removes those videos. Which is another reason Brock needs them - all the good video captures of the broadcast get dropped quickly due to copyright tagging.

Do gifs fall under the same scrutiny? I realize that it's still a recording. Just curious if broadcasting an image is the same thing.
