I really believe the way we lost took a lot of our soul and took a lot of our mojo. It's mostly a mental problem right now, IMO.

Teams that lose the SB do NOT make the playoffs the next year, on average.

There is a reason for this.

We followed the script to the T, including signing CJ and Graham. As good as Graham did today, we ripped a core strength of our team out to replace it with a weakness, while not really fixing a core weakness.

The Eagles did this, so did the Cardinals, practically every team that loses the SB makes some big change to help them get better than makes them worse. We did it too.

We are doing exactly what the 2010 Steelers did after losing their SB. And we will probably experience the same 5 years following IF Wilson can even be a consistently productive offensive player like Ben turned into. Even then, they never sniffed another SB.

no. we have a terrible corner trying to cover one side of the field giving up big plays constantly.

we traded our center for a non-blocking TE and didn't bother replenishing our line WITH ACTUAL OFFENSIVE LINEMEN.

so now we have a hamstrung, maladjusted offensive line crippling our already seminally poor playcalling from our bottom-tier OC and we have a CB out there giving up big plays constantly (i.e. 3rd down conversions, free plays, penalties) so that we can never get our defense off the field.

justin britt is trash. cary williams is trash. darrell bevell is trash. kris richard is just like our last 2 DC's.
