So as I looked through my closet this blue friday morning, I was looking at my options, I ended up going hawks polo instead of jersey, but I thumbed through my collection either way. I saw my home Lynch, my road Trufant, my WSU number 17, 5 and 10. Then I got to the back of the closet......

Seattle Seahawks Home D.J Hackett number 18..... WOOOOF that one was a mistake lol

What say you fellow 12s

It's not a Jersey, but if we are counting other types of miscues, I got a dog a few weeks after SB 48 and named him Percy, does that count?

Definitely too late. The wife loved the name too much and besides, I figured if I changed it, it might jinx the next guy, so it stays Percy for the sake of the team.

Picked up a authentic Matt Flynn jersey for $19.99 at a local shop, removed the name and added Kearse. :D

Is it a breed that's known for genetic hip issues?

I bought a Kam Chancellor Jersey last year before the Superbowl. Has the patch on it and everything.

It is going to take a while for me to want to wear it. It will stay in the closet for now.

This is the best post I've read in a while. Truth be told if I was in a similar situation I probably make the same mistake so no judgement here. :thirishdrinkers:

I not only bought the green jersey, I got a TJ Houshmandzadeh green jersey. The only saving grace is I got to make my friend Phil wear it at work after winning a jersey bet with him when the Hawks beat the Bears a few years back.

You may well be the bad luck guy. Don't you dare buy a Wilson jersey!

I've never purchased a jersey until last year..............but I do have what I call my box of Hawk QB shame. I used to collect autographs, so for a good 10 years I had hanging on my wall autographed pics of Kelly Stouffer, Rick Mirer, Dan McGwire and Warren Moon.

Needless to say only one pic is still hanging.

Dan McGwire.

Got mine hanging in the basement framed :)

I was an NC State grad that moved to Seattle when Koren had played there for one year. Second season was probably Koren's best season as a receiver (had better later as a returner) but got his jersey.

Other NC State grads have definately made me prouder when they suited up for Seattle :)
