These days I'd rather have an ridiculously absurd looking mascot as it could at least provide some comedy value. Like the Chargers or maybe the Cowboys. I'd say the Raiders too, but they are just trying too hard.

In all seriousness, Boom HAD to be an inside joke......there's no way he has the same hair and backwards hat otherwise....and you NEVER hear about him anymore.
