As frustrated as I am with Bevell, she should keep her mouth shut.

Wives, sisters/brothers, parents of players need to shut up, it doesn't help anything and only hurts your family member who is on that team and has to deal with this aftermath.

Just a heads up to most people around here constantly calling for Bevell's head, this is how you sound. Like an emotional mom.

No offense but people on a fan forum, the whole purpose of which is to discuss, dissect and vent every single detail about their team, are the last ones that should be telling others they need to shut up.

She's just doing what we do, she just gets a bigger soap box because of who she is (or more accurately who her son is).

And Bevell is the kid that just can't stop screwing up. There is a reason moms get emotional.

Jimmy Graham is one of the biggest matchup problems in football and Bevell has him running in the flats on 3rd and and like 4

It shouldn't be so difficult to get Graham involved in the offense. He was an afterthought for 3 quarters.

A lot of people are upset because I think they see a couple things:

Not utilizing premium players the most effective way. Graham was left 1 on 1 blocking vs edge rushers too often and that's just ridiculous, especially against the Rams. He's a premium pass catcher, use him that way.

Next point, too often it looks like the opponent's defense knows what's coming and they're ready for it. As if they were in the damn huddle when RW called the play. Very rarely fooled.

Bevell isn't the "worst play caller ever", but he's certainly not getting the most out of the offense. It is way too vanilla.

This is about as convincing as Larry Fitzgerald's dad bashing Bruce Arians a year ago. Which is to say, who cares and this is the last person you need backing your argument.

Unless you think Mama Lynch has looked at the game film and has no interest in deflecting any and all criticism off her son.

Tough to argue with that kind of well written, logical, and level headed critique. :34853_doh:

Yep. That's why I found it pretty funny. Perhaps she'd like to take over the offensive play calling... Lynch left, Lynch right, Lynch up the gut, punt.

Guess she also missed the lane Lynch didn't follow on the last play. Cutting back vs off left tackle.

Not that I'm a fan of Bevell or his in game playcalls, but her views mirror the locker room talk which indicated that the coaches wanted Russell to win the game. "love the playcaller more than a win"

Does she also realize that Bevell has built the offense around Lynch. Even to the point of adding the QB to the run game (read option aids the RB). That the OL is build for Lynch and not Wilson. That on some other pass oriented teams,, Lynch would not get the $$ Seattle was willing to pay.

I sometimes wonder if outsiders understand what Pete and John have built in Seattle. They seem to pick at everything the org does and think the players would be winners regardless of where they are. The Hawks put these players together. The Hawks helped them grow. The Hawks supported the players, even when they made the Team look bad (or dysfunctional). I find the couch coaches/GMs to be a little tiring, when they don't actually know how to coach/GM. They're all Pop Warner parents who know better.

I guess parents embarrassing their kids when it comes to sports doesn't just happen at the high school level.

Pipe down, Mrs. Beast Mode.

Built the offense around Beast? Well, clearly plenty of times he has had to get "cute" in the red zone. Basically ignoring the fact that he has the toughest RB in football.

Yup, built around Lynch and the running game. Just because Lynch doesn't run 100% of the plays or in every situation doesn't mean its not built for him.

Absolutely correct. He needs to trust Russ and open up the playbook, period.

Lynch led the NFL in redzone carries last year.
