We don't need him.

I know the line has had struggles, but I don't see any reason to panic just yet. I think given the time, the only question will be, "who's playing center?"

I see the starting line as Okung-Britt-Nowak/Lewis/LJP-Sweezy-Gilliam

What they need to do is stop moving people around and giving different reps and play that starting line as much as possible during pre season so that they can build a bit of a rapport with one another!

I really agree with this viewpoint; the final draft is due in three weeks and it's past time to have our rough draft completed. Let's start hammering on the protection calls and teamwork with lots of practice aimed at the Rams 3-4 scheme.

You know Fisher drew little stars around this game the moment he saw it on the schedule in week 1 and we should be expecting an entire off-season worth of stunts, blitzes and trick plays.

So does that mean that he's also wrong about Mathis being good?

The Rams run a 3-4 huh? Since when?

That sucks. Jared Allen tease confirmed. Only chance now is nobody gives him a decent offer.

I hope we get him. Maybe at 34, he's not an elite guard anymore. Maybe he is. But he will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to a young and inexperienced line.

I don't see how bringing him in would be negative at all. We already know the FO won't overpay him.

If he were to come in who sits, Sweezy or Britt? I don't like the idea of either as those two will get better with age where as Mathis a renta player.

Meh, I like Britt at LG and Gilliam at RT. I think the Seahawks do too. They both looked good considering they were put there last Monday. The didnt overwhelm but they also didnt underwhelm by any means and you certainly can see the potential.

If Nowak makes over LJP, I would love for the Seahawks to sign OC Chris Myers to much cheaper than Mathis and utilize his starting experience and superb run blocking ability to train up Nowak, Soloki/Milton, and Glo on the inside.

They were talking about this on MTC. 4-3 on first downs, predictable nickel blitz/3-4 blitz on passing downs. Personnel makes it hard to punish even though you know it's coming.

What forum is that London? Looks like a sub of reddit. Maybe there is some room for a little optimism like Sac said.

Maybe Mathis plays center.

That is kinda what I was thinking as well. He has to be better at making line adjustments than either Nowak or LJP. Also, there have been many veteran guards who have made the switch quite well. Something to think about if he comes here.
