He was their #1 threat all day and should have been of the field sniffing smelling salts. Dude tried to get up and run all jelly-legged after 300 million people saw him clearly down.

"The person said Monday that Edelman, who caught the winning 3-yard touchdown pass, was checked on the New England sideline by medical staff and an independent neurologist. The person spoke on condition of anonymity "

"On Monday, coach Bill Belichick was asked whether Edelman was checked for a concussion but largely sidestepped the question."

"Speaking with reporters Sunday night, Edelman acknowledged he was "exhausted like everyone else" and at one point referred to "Seattle" as "St. Louis" before correcting himself. Asked whether he was woozy or had submitted to a concussion test on the sideline, Edelman twice invoked the Patriots' steely in-house rules.

"We're not allowed to speak about injuries right now," he said."

And Wilson did not have a concussion against Green Bay?

Teams will try to do what they have to do to win in those games and playing through a concussion if you can is not out side the norm of what teams ask players to do.

I was just about to point that out, I don't think it falls on an organization as much as it does the player.

That makes Simon's night even worse. Edelman was probably seeing 2 Simon's and burning both of them.

Why do people think Wilson had a concussion against GB...in the sound fx statements he even walks off the field and says he didnt get hit as bad as matthews thought he got him..he sounded completely fine.

Yeah, Wilson got glanced almost parallel in the facemask because Matthews put his head down and missed; he popped up right away and was talking to teammates and coaches.

I've been dinged in the facemask before and while it can be a bit disorienting for a second (like wiping out harmlessly on a bike) it's not always going to be a concussion.

I think we're now pretty sure of how Belichick's Patriots will be remembered: The team that would do anything to win. Anything.

Did you not see this article (and others) or are you just ignoring them? The Patriots will be remembered for beating the Seahawks and holding off on *your* dynasty for just a little bit longer. We're not done with ours, and as you know, you can only have one at a time. After we get five, I'll be happy letting other teams win. Five is all I need.

Uh, if you read past the salacious headline even in the article you linked in the OP says that he was checked for a concussion.

They're trying to drum it up by saying he was checked "quickly" and that it likely didn't conform to the protocol, but if you actually click through to the source they're using none of that is true; they're just trying to drive traffic and create an out for themselves when creating a traffic-driving headline that their own article refutes.

Politically I tend to agree with TP's perspective, but if you click through their links they're almost always misconstruing things for clicks (it's basically the FoxNews of the left).

And no, I don't even know why they're playing the clickbait game with super bowl concussions to begin with.

When Avril went to thicker room the guys in the booth stated that he was being escorted by a league under writer. When I heard that I thought that the league must have removed Avril but based on this news then it sounds as if it would have been up to the team and player?
