The Seattle Seahawks, not the champion New England Patriots, are the favorites to win next year's Super Bowl, according to Las Vegas sports books.

The Westgate SuperBook and the William Hill sports book installed the Seahawks as 5-1 favorites to win Super Bowl 50 heading into the offseason. Super Bowl 50 will take place Feb. 7, 2016, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Yippee.

Great. So we get there and we'll all have the thoughts of "man, we could have won 3 in a row..."

1-0, every week. Except today, obviously. Then it's an 0-1.

If Bevell stays on this team we might have a repeat of the Harvin issue where we have to get rid of players that are starting to generate discontent.

I don't see how you could project a loss like this into a return trip.

These are the types of moments that rip apart once promising teams.

To be honest, recovering from that call might end up becoming one of the greatest coaching challenges that Pete has ever faced. He can do it, but man that is crazy to think this team can just reload and pop back in with so many of our team openly blaming part of the coaching staff and so many key personnel decisions (Lynch) to be made that can affect the chances to get back to the playoffs at all next year.

And this one, would have been the kingmaker. The handoff from Pats to the Seahawks. No other SB will have that kind of power or importance for this team in a long time.

It was primed to be a symbolic moment, and they stumbled at the finish line.

It might be one of the most important losses in Seattle FB.
