Making excuses for his hair-brained staff. He doesn't throw people under the bus (even when they deserve it), unlike Mora.

If he throws it earlier might have been OK. Threw when he cleared and it got picked. The whole world knows what should have been called.

in the interview I saw Pete said something about sending in the wrong personnel but not having time to change it so they ran the play. How bad is our offensive design when a rookie DB can read pick pass just from our pre snap alignment when we have the ball on the half yard line in the super bowl? It's unlikely that any OC would ever call that play yet this rookie was able to read it before the snap and beat the receiver. Our pass offense sucks by design.

Lockett should have made that catch. Paul Richardson would have snagged it no problem. I have no problem with the play...although I probably would have went with Lynch regardless of the D.
