Reminiscent of last year. The good part of that is the major crow fest the day after and the vows to never do it again. Those who do not learn from their mistakes and all that.

Poor poor analysts trapped by their conventional wisdom. Just can't help but pick the big shiny offensive team.

Seriously, how many more "greatest offenses of all time" do we have to beat? We have chunks of teams just like the Pats in our stool.

This is shaping up to be another perfect storm. Just keep fining us and let the Pats cheat with flat balls since 2007. No one can beat Brady. One problem... Tomorrow the Pats play with kicker balls!

Here's a couple of links to compilations of analysts' picks... sorted by best prognosticators being at the top of the lists.

This one is straight up... http://nflpickwatch.com/

And this one is against the spread... http://nflpickwatch.com/ats/

In straight up, three of the top four are picking the Hawks. Notice that Cris Carter is #1.

In against the spread, eight of the top ten are also picking the Hawks.

It might take 3 SB wins for those morons to see this team is special....

A lot of magical thinking there and not much serious analysis.

The hard reality is that the Hawks have a better defense and better running game.

That equals wins in big games.

A lot of the reason why these experts are picking the Patriots is the assumption that Chancellor, Sherman, and Thomas aren't healthy at all. Coupled with losing Mebane and Jordan with the lack of confidence in Kevin Williams and others in the middle.

They seem to think Edelman and Amnadola are going to rip the LOB apart which is insane given we have already played and eliminated Amandola on a regular basis already, he's basically a lightweight version of Wes Welker. While also being convinced Blount is going to run for 100+ yards are something more ridiculous, I mean why should he suddenly be able to do something Eddie Lacy or any other large runner couldn't do while being a worse running back?

Better running game is the understatement of the year. Statistically the 3rd best rushing offense ever.

Jaws has picked the Patiots this entire week until yesterday when he changed his mind to Seahawks. I was gonna tweet him to turn around, smack himself in he face and go back to where he belongs. Poser.

When former players choose, it seems like the offensive guys generally pick the Pats and the defensive players the Hawks.

I actually don't get this stats wise Russ has more yards then Brady and Beast definitely is better then Blount. So how exactly is their offense better just because a higher percentage of yards is through the air?

Yup, they play fast paced and score more points while giving up more as well. These are the #1 and #2 point differential teams in the league.

AS ALWAYS WITH THE HAWKS. If you cant run against us, you cant beat us. Does New England has as many weapons as Denver last year? Is Brady having an ALL TIME great season? Hawks need to just come out and take it right at their face for 60 minutes and that will be that.

Dunno what you're all talking about. I'm seeing about 60-40 Seattle in picks.

All of the white former QBs are picking Pats. Go figure.

Jamarcus Russell, "Rocket" Ismail, Terrelle Pryor, Kelly Rodriguez, Timmy Chang, Rich Kan, Roman Gabriel, and Marques Tuiasosopo picked the pats too.
