Seahawks Twitter account tweeted that Sweezy, Earl and Sherman were all going to be good to go for the Super Bowl.

Pete said on Kiro that they still don't have the MRI's done yet, so he couldn't say when he was on KIRO, but the tweet by the seahawks twitter and the fact that there were quotes last night is a good sign. Something I'm sure we'll all be keeping a close eye on

And from Adam Schefter: Earl is playing, don't even waste your time on a story

Earl came out and played with a dislocated shoulder just popped back in and braced up. Sherman played with what looked like a hyperextension of the elbow, in obvious extreme pain. Warriors. Absolute warriors. Guys like that make it so easy and gratifying to root for this team.

Legion of boom indeed.

No doubt. Down by 12 with under 5 minutes to go and these guys are out there when a lot of others may have called it a day. There is no way anyone can have an iota of doubt about the heart and grit of this team.

So does "HAS a dislocated shoulder" mean that's its still dislocated?

I'm guessing it was popped back into place, but the fact that it came out very likely caused some lasting damage, that may eventually require surgery to fix.

Pete said on the radio this morning that both will have MRI's today, and you want to know how tough Earl is?...he took on Lacey head on and hit him with the injured shoulder stopping him dead in his tracks. He probably weighs 65 pounds less than Lacey.

Isn't surgery pretty rare for a dislocated shoulder?

Usually just immobilizing it in a sling for weeks is good enough. Obviously Earl doesn't have a month, so hopefully he can just get to a pain tolerance level he can deal with.

Sherm's injury is more worrisome for me.

Tests have revealed promising news for the Seattle Seahawks and star cornerback Richard Sherman.

Sherman told NFL Media's Steve Wyche on Sunday night that he will play against the New England Patriots despite the injury. Barring a setback over the next two weeks, expect to see Sherman on the field -- with some added protection on the crook of his left arm.

Simply amazing these guys have the guts to not only play as hard as they do, but to continue to play in what had to be extreme pain. Sherman looked like a prize fighter that was only still standing thru shear force of will....I love these guys!
