"The Silence is Golden Award" goes to Marshawn Lynch." (Phil Simms).

"He shouldn't have to speak, he not doing it to create something for himself."

Esiason: "Does he come to any of your preproduction meetings?

Simms: " No, we don't ask for him, but let's be honest, I'm a little scared of him! Have you ever seen him run? "

I was all smiles when I was watching that segment. It also sheds some light on how the media views Marshawn and the way he avoids speaking to them. There was a previous discussion on this forrum about Marshawn's chances of getting into the HOF and most posters felt that since it was the media that voted, Marshawn's snubbing of the media would hurt him. I think most of the media realizes that he doesn't do it out of arragance, its just that he is such an introvert and doesn't like speaking to anyone he doesn't know. That creates it's own stroy that the media loves to report on.

Should have gone with "speak softly and carry a big 'stick'." award for beast. Makes light of both his interview skills and crotch grab celebration. Come on, pick it up over there fellas.
