Seahawks placed DT Brandon Mebane on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.
TE Rashaun Allen was signed off the Vikings' practice squad in a corresponding roster move. Mebane tore his hamstring on Sunday against the Giants. A part-time player who features against the run, Mebane turns 30 in January. He's due $5.5 million in 2015. It's quite possible the Seahawks will ask him to take a pay-cut.
