So as we get closer and closer to the release of Naughty Dog's next title, The Last of Us, I can't help but get all types of excited. The Uncharted series easily became my favorite video game franchise after playing the first and second and being blown away by the production quality of both games. It's like you're playing an Indiana Jones movie, it's awesome.
Anyway, The Last of Us is going to use the same engine and gameplay mechanics of Uncharted but used in a much darker survival/horror genre, rather than action-adventure (though it's still going to have influence from this genre). I love the idea of the story - Earth has been devastated by a fungal disease that takes over a human's body and now the city landscapes look like they're straight from I Am Legend.
This was the first gameplay that was released to the public at E3 in 2012. After watching this gameplay video, it was set in stone that I would buy this game.
