As per my usual my first attempt at a Franchise in a new madden game is with the hawks.

First game I made no changes to the roster and came up with a comfortable win 42-13. Deon Butler was HUGE out of the slot in the 4WR package, something like 75 yards and a touchdown. Carlson and Housh were my 3rd down targets and caught everything thrown their way. Nate and Branch were also excellent with both producing large gains. Julius Jones broke through a gang tackle to score from 22 yards out, he finished with 57 in the half.

Second half was the TJ Duckett Show. He broke multiple gang tackles and had several big runs. Devin Moore and Justin Forsett also got to see some carries, and they performed admirably (picking up 1st downs when needed). Taylor, Obomanu did not have good games.

After the first game i made some roster moves. Taylor + Obomanu were cut, as were Kevin Hobbs, Baraka Atkins. I traded Julius Jones for a 3rd round draft pick, and signed a back up TE + LT. I traded said 3rd round pick, and both the TE and LT to the panthers in exchange for Stewart, Dwayne Jarret, and their 5th round pick. I brought in DJ Hackett to compliment my receiving core.

The second game was strait domination. 70-6. Stewart, Duckett, Jarret, and Butler all got into the endzone multiple times, and Deion, Nate, TJ and Carlson also put up good numbers. Very good and powerful offense.

Third game was a 77-0 shut out, with a similar story to the last game. Butler, Jarret, Stewart and Duckett had great games, and the rest WR group were solid.

The defense has been absolutely incredible. Relentless pressure from the outside, and Mebane and Cole are monsters in the middle. After 3 games Kerney has 4 sacks, Redding 5, Lo-Jack 7, Tapp 2, Mebane 3 and Cole 1. Wilson has 3 INT's, Grand has one, Tru has one, Lofa has one, and Curry has one (pick six).

overall i am happy with the time i have, and will be raising the difficulty fairly soon.

Haha yeah, you definitely need to up the difficulty... what are you playing on? I've been using these custom sliders, and it seems to play really well for me:

http://www.operationsports.com/forums/m ... iders.html

The quarters are set at 15 min, but with the 25 second runoff, it doesn't play much longer than a regular game of madden. The total number of plays is about right. Anyways, I haven't played many games with these sliders yet, but the games I've played so far have been fun.

Ok, into the regular season, just finished game number one against the rams.

I play 7 minute quarter on all-pro at the moment (upped from pro during the first 3 preseason games)

Here is the stat sheet:

Seahawks 44 Rams 13.

Hasselbeck - 158.3 QB rating, 18 of 22 for 327 and 4 TD's

Stewart - 95 yards on 18 attempts.
Duckett - 18 yards on 4 attempts
Forsett - 1 yard on 1 attempt
Hasselbeck - 1 yard on 1 attempt

Carlson - 6 Catches for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Branch - 3 catches for 48 yards
Burleson - 3 catches for 28 yards
Butler - 2 catches for 30 yards and a TD
Forsett - 1 catch for 66 yards and a TD (broke free of a 2 man gang tackle to bust a big YAC)
Dwayne Jarret - 1 Catch for 7 yards
Housh - 1 catch for 10 yards
Stewart - 1 catch for 34 yards

Defensive leaders:
Curry - 6 total tackles, 1 TFL,
Tatupu - 4 Total tackles
Redding - 2 TFL
Russel - TFL
Mebane - TFL, Sack
Cole - TFL, Sack
Wilson - INT, TD
Lucas - INT

Mare - 3 for 3 on field goals.

Rams were held to 200 yards of total offense, with only 11 rushing yards. They were 0-11 on third down conversions.

Prior to the game i adjusted some of the substitution sliders, so that Duckett would get some carries when Stewart was hurt, and our D-line would use the rotation system we use in reality. The HB situation worked perfectly, but the DL was F'ed. The starters played the first half, and then only mebane returned after half. It got to the point where Tapp and Lo-jack got tired, and in came Will Herring, Curry, and Lewis to play DE. Any ideas on how i can set the sliders to get an actual rotation going?

I have decided that starting next season i will be bumping up the difficulty to all-madden (or whatever they call it these days).

Things are going very well, I have clinched home field advantage and have gone undefeated to this point, 16-0.

Early in the season my running game was down right NASTY, but faded around week 8 against the cowboys. It was halftime and the score was 17-3 Cowboys. My pass happy offense was just not working, and i had lost Housh for the remainder of the game due to a minor injury. Their pressure from the 3-4 D was relentless. I was backed up in my own end, around the 30 when i called a Screen pass on 3rd down to forsett (hes my 3DRB). Forsett broke the initial tackle and Burleson laid out the safety to spring him. Forsett was eventually caught from behind (around the 10) and J-Stew came in to finish it off. I continued to use the run game as my primary attack against the boys and ended up winning the game 24-17. Week 9 i faced a very weak lions team (they finished 1-15 on the year) and pounded the ball down their throat to a 59-10 whooping. I had 343 yards of rushing offense that game and 8 rushing TD's spread among all 4 backs. This trend continued through the remainder of the season. Here are the stats for the season:

Passing:
Hasselbeck - 92.2 QB rating - 212 of 37 for 3265 yards, 25 TD's and 15 INT's.

Forsett - 182 yards on 37 attempts - 4 TD's, 0 fumbles - AVG PC 4.0 - AVG per game 11.3
Moore - 163 yards on 31 attempts - 2 TD's, 0 fumbles - AVG PC 5.2 - AVG per game 10.1
Hasselbeck - 162 yards on 31 attempts - 5 TD's, 5 Fumbles - AVG PC 5.2 - AVG per game 10.1
