I'm in the process of trading for CJ Spiller (mainly to get rid of can't-cut-Ryan Mathews) and I already own Randy Moss.

Curious if you all think Spiller gets more work with Lynch gone, and how will Moss fit in with Favre?

Like I said, I can't cut Mathews, and he isn't good enough to start every week, so I'm either going to use Spiller situationally, or perhaps swap him for someone on the waiver wire (Lynch is available, and I really want to pick him up.)

I'm in the same boat with Shonn Greene. Spiller's on waivers, but I have no idea who I could drop to replace him since my bench consists of Vick, Greene, Garcon (another can't cut but want to), Santonio Holmes, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, and Mike Williams (TB) who I'm not ready to give up on.

Can't cut sucks - should not be a rule unless league has seen people bail and drop good players in spite (and then, those people should not be invited back).

I think Jackson will initially get the carries, with Spiller eventually eating more into the load - since they were showcasing Lynch he didn't get much work.

I would take Spiller over Lynch (esp if you get return yards) but better if you have bench space for Beast Mode :)

Sarlacc, I am in a similar boat since I have Greene, Holmes, and Ricky W as my "long-term investments" - would get rid of Lawfirm

Not really ready to get rid of Lawfirm. He's had 2 double digit weeks in a row and it doesn't look like that's going to stop any time soon. He's certainly getting more consistent points than Spiller even if his upside isn't as high.

I think Spiller will definitely see more work with Lynch gone, the question (that I have no answer for) is how much more work?
I agree with tdigitee though that Jackson will see more carries than Spiller, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Spiller is more involved in the passing game. I expect Spiller's fantasy output to be wildly inconsistent. I'm sure he'll have a few huge games here and there (He's had one already), but I also think he'll have plenty of no show games as well.

As for Moss, I really don't know what to think. It's not like he was having a great season with the Pat's and Tom Brady throwing him the ball. Favre hasn't been playing very well and because of that the Vikings have been leaning more heavily on the running game. My guess would be that Moss's production will not improve much.

I also hate the can't cut, I mean if something really ridiculous happens the commish can always put things back the way they were.
Having Pierre Garcon on the can't cut list is freakin retarded. His best season was last year and his stats were pretty mediocre.

Ah Sarlacc, I didn't realize BJGE had been doing that well. I tend to avoid NE RBs and wonder what effects Moss' departure will have on that O. But probably better to hang on to him for now instead of Spiller. Anyone you could trade Garcon to for a scrub who you could then cut and grab Spiller? I do agree with Chapow that he might be up-and-down, but he'll probably get a good number of touches as the season goes on.
