Seriously. There are only four players I like this year. Only four guys that I think are worthy of a first-round pick. Chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, MJD, and Andre Johnson.

If I pick late in the first round, and Johnson is gone, I seriously do not like a single player. Who else do I pick? Michael Turner who had one monster season then looked like a second-round guy? Frank Gore who has been all over the map? Ray Rice? No way am I sold on that guy.

To me, this seems like a year for an auction league. Give me Andre Johnson and two of my three RB picks up there, then I'll fill out the rest of my roster with $1 guys, and beat everyone else in the league assuming I have no big injuries.

It really depends on the scoring but why not take a QB if your top four are gone? IMO it's all about value for your pick. I have not done any research other than data compliation atm but it looks to me like The top four RB's are Chris Johnson, Peterson, Jones-Drew, and Thomas Jones. But no one has scored more fantasy point in the Yahoo public scoring than Aaron Rodgers did last year and only Drew Brees topped him in 08. Also only Chris Johnson last year topped the top three QB's over last two years... Rodgers, Brees and Rivers.

Agree with Green. Rogers and Brees are both #1 worthy, especially if you're picking in the middle of the first round. But then again, I am sold on Rice, and I do think that MJD is a worthy pick as well. MJD's been in the top #10 for rushers, IIRC. In fact, I would say those two are safer bets than A. Johnson, seeing as the guy's only had 2 healthy years in a row.

Thomas Jones? I havn't seen anyone rank him in the top 20, let alone top 4.

I'd take Jamaal Charles before I'd take Thomas Jones, but I wouldn't take either in the first round and probably not the second round either.

IMO Brees, Rodgers, P. Manning and Brady are all worthy of a #1 pick, probably Romo too. Ray Rice will be a top 5 pick in most leagues and is absolutely worthy of that slot, last year he had over 1300 rush yds and 700 rec yds. C. Johnson, Peterson and MJD go without saying. I think Reggie Wayne and Randy Moss are also worth lower #1 picks (obviously A. Johnson).I also think Gore is worth a top ten pick, I'd take him before Wayne or Moss.
Depends a lot on the scoring in your league too.
