Is this guy a developmental TE available round 6,7/UDFA? Sure has the speed, get-off and workout numbers for that. The kid is an athlete, a basketball player and has some receiving background. Maybe a later round TE pick for the Seahawks to develop?

DE-Larry Webster, Bloomsburg, 6-6, 252, 33.5" arms, 10-1/8" hands, 4.58/40 (1.57 10-yd split!!!!), 36.5" vert., 10'-03" broad jump, 7.29 3-cone, 17 reps.

Per this piece, Webster may have a home at DE or may be converted to LB or possibly TE (and he's willing to convert to TE, even though he likes defense.)

""Webster, who starred for four years on the basketball court in college, needs to get stronger and add meat to his lean, lanky body type, but I expect Webster to essentially take a “redshirt” year as a rookie to take advantage of a NFL weight room and pro coaching. His future in the league is likely at linebacker or maybe even tight end, but regardless, he has EXCITING potential - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com""

I had a post on him last month, which really didn't go over too well. http://seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=90095

I also posted his combine results, somewhere in the draft forum, ranked his combine #s against the TE's at the combine and he was in the top-3 of just about everything. There are a handful of players I would take a late round flier, due to their uniqueness, size, or speed, and Webster is near the top of that list.

After I read cover-2 original post I remember why I love our FO. They Always pick and take risks on these kinds of player. Leaving people on our board, who are all looking at the same players( as everyone else) over and over. Wondering why there draft prospects went so poorly 3 years later, while the Seahawks win the super bowl.

The offseason is my favorite time on Seahawks.net, only a select few can talk about unknown prospects. While the rest get mud slung at them by the select posters that love it so much.
