Simon just screams "Pete Carroll DB" .. 6-2, 200 .. 40 in between 4.4 and 4.5. Man-to-man specialist but still pretty rough around the edges. However with our secondary he would have a lot of time to sit back and learn from some of the best DB's in the game.

Supposedly a lot of people were surprised he declared and felt he would have gone much higher had he stayed another season. Could be a gem in Round 4-5.

Right now #5 CB spot on our roster is between Thurmond and Maxwell. If you draft a CB be prepared to cut both those guys or have a wasted draft pick.

Why would both guys need to be cut? Winfield replaces Trufant and any new drafted CB would compete with Maxwell and WT3 for two spots.

I'm a big fan of WT3, and think he can be a great player, but he hasn't had a healthy season yet, plus it's his contract year. If there's another season of injuries, I can't see him getting re-signed.

We've got a talented roster. There's going to be some tough cuts, for sure, but it's only going to lead to a better team, right?

Simon definitely fits the profile, but I'd be shocked if he sees the 5th round. I'd also be shocked if Seattle drafted a corner before then.

I don't know, he seems slow footed and doesn't play with the kind of frenetic energy Carroll covets. He also seems unwilling to put his body into tackles. In rugby, (I'm a rugby coach) we call players who throw their arms out toward ball carriers while moving their bodies out of the way "matadors." I see a lot of matador in the kid. He rarely makes solid contact with the ball carrier.

Good player and kearly is right,he is off the board between our pick in the 3rd and 4th. If he isn't I would take him in a heartbeat with our early 5th.

He has the size measurables, but he is pretty widely considered as a CB who struggles with man press coverage. Looking at his tape, I'd have to concur. He is a guy who if you look at prospects measurables -- might infer he can do that. But he doesn't show an aptitude for that when you watch him.

He fits the height - length - speed profile. But his tackling is weak... and that is being kind. He would need to be a late round pick, and I suspect he will go early to a copy cat team.

Wow, listening to the incident makes me so angry. Why is there still so much blatant racism in the south? It's disgusting, what the hell it's 2013 for Pete's sake. Gross. I don't know how he didn't punch that dude in the mouth.

i think he's a good developmental corner that can take over when B. Browner tenure is done.

This was easily the best call of the draft by a .net user. Great job.... picking the first round is hard enough...a dude in the late rounds is impossible.
