I'd be pretty ecstatic with that draft.

Not bashing your mock or kearly by any mean's, as he has some great talent at evaluating players, but you need to read more than just his stuff because your draft seems like you put every one of his hyped players in your mock.
After all that I do admit I'd be happy with that crop of rookies.

Yeah, I agree with Wenhawk, actually.
I am 100% fine with taking Swope in round 1. However, I'd like to know if we'd have to first. I'm not sure if the combine moved the needle that much on his draft stock yet. He deserves to go that early, but I'm not sure he will.

That's a nice draft. I especially like your two fifth rounders and the Washington pick.
Was it coincidence or had you heard that the Seahawks were sniffing around Jordan Mills at the Senior Bowl?

Your second and third round choices will not be there when it is our turn to pick. They are both early to mid second round picks.

Was it coincidence or had you heard that the Seahawks were sniffing around Jordan Mills at the Senior Bowl? Coincidence on Mills. I'm not up on my Seahawk news as much as others like Kearly, English, etc are. I do use information from their insights but I also do some research. In picking Swope in the first round, I feel he did enough to impress the Seahawks FO. He's versatile in that he can be a split-end or slot type of receiver. He has good hands, good size/speed. I believe JS/PC will draft guy they want no matter where that pick may be. Their value board may be different. It depends on what they feel. I feel that Swope is a lower 1st/2nd round value. I believe he's the best fit and gives immediate value. The other guy that I feel that way at WR about is Robert Woods. The game at SF last year sticks in my mind. The receiving core as a whole were subpar in that game. Had they won that game, they would have won the division and things may have been different. In 2005, the Seahawks had a guy named Joe J. that caught everything in sight and that spread to the rest of the team. I have a feeling Swope could help in a similar fashion.
