Sando just posted this...clears up some of the questions about our comp picks, which have yet to be announced. The second 5th-rounder is from the Curry trade.

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, two 5ths, a 6th and three 7ths.

Blogging the Beast put out some comp pick projections last month: http://bloggingthebeast.com/2013/01/27/ ... ojections/

He projects the Hawks to get 2 seventh round picks, one for Bigby and one for Whitehurst.

Here's the Hawks picks best I can figure out. Compensatory picks have not yet been added starting (potentially) at the bottom of the 3rd round... so the numbers of the Hawks picks starting in the 4th round may change based on how many comp picks are added and where they are added:

Rnd # overall
1 - 25
2 - 56
3 - 87
4 - 120
5 - 131 (from Raiders)
5 - 151
6 - 184
7 - 198 (from Bills)
7 - 204 (from Saints)
7 - 215

Hell, with the way John drafts them and Pete and the coach staff developing 'em, there could be at least 1 future starters with those picks. :179422:

Extra 7th Rd picks can often be used as currency to move around a bit in the earlier rounds. A 7th might move you 2-3 spots in the 4th, say. Or they can be like UDFA players, very cheap, so take a flyer and try them out. If they hit, great. If not, not much lost.

So really, John & Pete will have a couple of days to try to use them as leverage up front to move around for key picks. If nothing works, camp fodder.
