Sounds like Marques Tuiasasopo is coming back to UW

  • As QB's coach. Good recruiter and had his freshman QB playing pretty well at UCLA. No link yet. Seven Win Steve seems to be pretty good at poaching coaches from across the Pac 12.

Looking forward to completing the Decade of Dominance. :D

**edit** I guess he was the tight ends coach at UCLA, not the QB coach, so i cant credit him for UCLA's QB play.

  • Wasn't Tui a an assistant intern before he left to UCLA, Price was better that year, maybe Sark recognises that and wanted to rectify what happened last year.

  • According to his wikipedia he was the assistant strength coach at UW for 2009/10. But yea, I think this would be a really solid move by UW bringing him home.

  • Yeah one of the guys on the fighton247 board posted that he'd gotten a text from Tui indicating he was going to UW as QB coach.

  • It'd be extremely unlikely to flip him, but Tui is as close to Thomas Tyner as any coach out there, including on the Oregon staff. It'd probably be a 1/10 of 1% chance type of thing, but if Chip does goto the NFL, you never know what could happen.
