22-4 in his first 2 seasons. 40 years young. No particulars on the length of the extension but Shaw said this..."Put it this way," Shaw said, after waving off all guesses. "I want to be coaching here until my kids graduate from here. And I have a 2-year-old." He got married on the Stanford campus and says he loves the place. How could he not. When Oregon, USC, Washington, etc. are knocking on recruits doors he has the leg up. All he has to do is tell the recruits parents..."wouldn't you want your kid to have a Stanford education and be part of a winner?"

Good for his recruits to hear and good for the pac-12. I like Shaw. He is an offensive guy but also preaches defense and tough hard nosed football. No finesse at Stanford.

Shaw has his warts (if he had any sense regarding QB they might be in the title game), but I was impressed by that offensive and defensive line of his. Stanford's front seven actually got better after Harbaugh left. That's impressive.
