Where's Alejandro Maldonado?!?

But really, not too many surprises there. I'm a little surprised that they have Ertz over Seffarian-Jenkins, although both are very good. Although I think if you put Lyerla in either one of those offenses he would put up better numbers then either of them.

A little dissapointed that at least one of Clay and Alonzo didnt make the 1st team, but i'm not sure which one of those 1st teamers i would replace.

Even I would have voted Mariota 1st team. Never said he wasn't a great college QB. The next best option is Matt Barkley, and that would be pretty weird given USC's season.

I'm fine with Ertz getting 1st team. He's basically been ASJ's equal and he's a senior, plus his team just won the Pac-12. I may have mentioned this before, but I'm a big fan of Zach Ertz.

I also really like that Matt Scott got 2nd team over Barkley. Barkley actually wasn't that bad this year, but Matt Scott impressed the hell out of me at times and I would have felt bad for him if he didn't get some recognition for the season he had.

Kind of sad that Trufant was the only defensive player to make the list for UW. Their defense was quietly one of the better units in the conference this year, seems like a snub that only 1/22 of that conference list included UW. It would have been nice if Timu and Shirley had gotten some recognition. I thought they had nice seasons. Parker and Shaq were pretty good too. I get it though- it wasn't a star studded defense- more of a sum of the parts defense so the snubs make sense.

I get why David Shaw got coach of the year, but my vote would have gone to Rich Rod or yes, even Jim Mora. A lot of people, including me, expected Arizona to suck badly for years to come, and he instantly turned them into the Pac-12's most dangerous team. UCLA hasn't been relevant in ages and Mora made them relevant in year one. Shaw is kind of the Les Miles of the Pac-12, a good steward for a team pre-built for him, but nothing special otherwise. This is a coach that took way too long to switch to Hogan at QB, and I could tell in five seconds that Hogan was the better QB. Still, his team did play above expectations this year. So he deserves the respect and recognition for that.

Trufant got abused by WSU. When he wasn't getting badly beat, he was getting badly beat and committing blatant pass interference. Must have been a huge down year for CB's in the Pac 12.

One bad game determines if the guy deserves his ranking?

Trufant deserves to be where he is at.

One game? He didn't do crap vs UO either. Or at least the starters.

How Travis Long didn't make the 2nd team is beyond me.
