Horrible news for Thomas, and only 5 weeks before the draft. After moving up draft boards a bit after an impressive senior bowl and combine, Thomas now could be lucky to be drafted at all. Pre-ACL tear, he was likely a 3rd round pick. Would the Seahawks be interested in drafting Thomas in the 6th or 7th round?

I really liked Thomas, but because he was likely to be drafted well before the Seahawks 4th round pick (and with a few other areas of need, I could not see them taking a guard in the second round). Thomas has played both Guard and Tackle, but projects as a Guard in the NFL. He reminds me a bit of Jon Asamoah. He does seem to fit what Cable is looking for at LG. Maybe a 6th round value pick, with a "redshirt" year on the IR?

I call that a bargain, draft him late and stash on the IR for later, specially on a team like ours with no real dire need of anything.

We could really use an OT, WR, and DE for depth.
