    Kaepernick & Lockette

I don't know anyone who would particularly care; all that matters is playoff success. Manning smoked Brady in every regular season stat for their first 7-ish years. Brady won 3 super bowls in that time. You strike me as the type of person who uses players being voted to the pro bowl as some sort...

Wow, Sebastian Janikowski 4-yr deal for $19m, $8m guaranteed

Who else is gonna score points on their team? :). Without Janikowski they'd probably get shut out half their games haha.

Wow, Sebastian Janikowski 4-yr deal for $19m, $8m guaranteed

Janikowski is probably the best player on their team, and one of the best kickers in the league. I don't see anything really wrong with the contract considering his importance to their roster. He's only been getting better too.

We could always talk about our awesome regular season victories so it's more in line with the discussion you guys are used to :).

Bucs Trade Eric Wright to the Niners

Yes. The 49ers traded for a defensive player to match up against a Seahawks defensive player. The rumors swirling around are that he will only play in the Seahawks games and only when they go to their special defense vs. defense package.

    Expectations for the 2013 season?

10 AM starts suck for west coast teams, but do a little math...(89 wins +185 losses)/(5 teams x 12 seasons) = average of 4.5 10 AM games per west coast team per year. So the Seahawks are playing half a game more than average.

Would it be too cocky when looking at Seahawks schedule

I said in my first post that the only thing that's not set are the times and dates. Every home and away game is already set. Obviously the "NFC South Same Place Finisher" home game in 2015 isn't set yet, and won't be set until the 2014 season is over. That's just common sense since we don't know...

Would it be too cocky when looking at Seahawks schedule

Handsome Richard, I think you should take a deep breath and remove your tinfoil hat for 30 seconds. I could tell you who the Seahawks are going to play at home and on the road in 2017, because the schedules are set for the next decade. The only thing that will change is the order and time the...

Confirmation that Jim Harbaugh = Massengill

Roland why do you constantly go so far out of your way to act simple minded just to spite a rival team? The coaching staff had doubts about Kaepernick ever developing into a starting caliber QB because he was so erratic in practice, let alone replacing a quarterback with the ridiculous...

Confirmation that Jim Harbaugh = Massengill

Carroll and Schneider have done a fine job building a talented team. My response was directed to the guy saying Harbaugh didn't have a lot of success at Stanford until he got a great quarterback in Andrew Luck, and because of that he doesn't believe he's a great head coach. Wilson was clutch as...

Confirmation that Jim Harbaugh = Massengill

Doesn't the exact same thing apply to Carroll? He had a losing record in his first 2 1/2 seasons as the Seahawks head coach before Wilson developed and took control in the second half of last season. If the Hawks hadn't drafted Wilson how would last season and the future look? Granted, Flynn is...

    NFL Future Power Rankings

You don't actually believe that though right? Only 12 of the 22 offensive/defensive starters were the same from 2010 to 2011. A year down the road I don't see how it matters what round a player is drafted in. You're talking a difference of $1mil/yr. for a second round pick compared to $550k for...

NFL top 100: Richard Sherman at 50, 3rd highest corner

NFL top 100: Richard Sherman at 50, 3rd highest corner

Sherman is a great db, and I'm sure he's so low just because of how few games he's played (same with Wilson and Kaepernick). If he continues at the same level as last year then he'll easily be in the top 20 after next season. I don't think any rational person would argue that he wasn't the top...

PFF demonstrates Kaepernick folds under pressure as a passer

The third chart makes this thread look even more pointless. Kaepernick has the the 35'th worst differential, Manning has the 31'st, Brady has the 24'th, and Brees has the 23'rd. The top 10 most consistent includes such awesome quarterbacks as Kevin Kolb, Ryan Tannehill, Nick Foles, Chad Henne...

PFF demonstrates Kaepernick folds under pressure as a passer

Well the article you link lists Kaepernick as 11, Manning as 12, and Brady as 13 for this particular statistic. Two of those had MVP caliber seasons in the year these statistics come from. So if this isn't you drawing attention to a fairly meaningless, cherry picked statistic, then perhaps you...

PFF demonstrates Kaepernick folds under pressure as a passer

It's easy to cherry pick stats to make an otherwise great QB look sub-par. Look at the same author's column from yesterday https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2 ... y-20-2013/. Wilson took the second highest % of self inflicted sacks, and over twice more self inflicted hits and hurries than...
