Indeed, they'll have to do something right quick. Currently (I think) about $5-6M over the cap. But so many guys they can restructure or extend to fix it: Bobby, Russell, Duane Brown, Lockett.
Took the "Jarran Reed" money and gave it to Dunlap, which is what I was hoping for.
Reed made a strange choice by preferring free agency (and likely a pay cut).
"Free-agent DE Carlos Dunlap is resigning with the Seahawks on a two-year deal, $16.6 million deal that includes $8.5 million guaranteed, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus"
Not just no but hell no. The guy has been nothing but problems for two teams in only a year.
He needs psych evaluation and treatment...or to just party until his rookie signing bonus disappears, which appears to be his preferred course.
Correct - he will play left guard. Jackson played his entire college career at LG, and first two seasons in the NFL. There is no reason to screw around with moving Lewis from the right side.
Sure, I'd be down for Monken. Diverse offense, passes all over the field but doesn't ignore the run. I remember a quote from him about, "I don't like boring, I like big plays".
Yep. Today's game was pathetic, and unfortunately rather predictable. But top-third of the league, every year...there are no more than 3-4 teams who can claim that other than Seattle. "Bad year is 12-4" is pretty OK.
Well the subject seems a bit hormonal and reactionary, but there is a bit of truth there.
Wilson's playground skills are fading and he is apparently not any kind of traditional QB. Without his legs and improv he's not Dangeruss.
His trade value will never be higher. He likes the East Coast and...
Based on what? I don't dislike Norton and he's probably a pretty good linebackers coach. But he was no good as coordinator with the Raiders and now even worse in Seattle.
Gus Bradley started the LOB defense. Then Quinn ran with it. Gus is the guy to get but he's employed and doing well with...
Homer is not very useful between the tackles but as an outlet and in pass pro he is solid. He can make a living doing what he's doing, plus special teams.
I buy this concept. Whichever one of these guys can be had for a fair deal (if either).
I like me some Dissly, but his knees may not be NFL-able. And who knows how he will come back from yet another serious injury.
