    Redesigned Jersey???

It won’t be a surprise when it happens. Teams announce well in advance and there will be months of build-up. Those “hybrids” are pretty dope though. It’s a nice fusion of two eras.

CB 4.28 in the 40 met with Hawks

Sorry, continuing the Galloway talk. I’m pretty sure it was a contract dispute and he held out for a large portion of the season before being traded to Dallas. As the holdout drug on, fans became increasingly frustrated. I remember seeing a custom 84 jersey that read “Go Away” on the...

    Rashaad Penny visits Seattle

Penny + new kick return rules could be dynamite (if he doesn't hurt himself running onto the field.)

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ll have to check a few out. I’m sure I’ll get killed for this, but I actually enjoy Brock and Salk. Or, I guess, i tolerate Salk for the sake of Huard. I think he’s pretty dialed in and rationale on most fronts. I used to listen to Joe Fan. Not sure...

    Worst QB in franchise history?

McGwire. Mentioned a couple times already, but the coaching staff preferred Favre. So, on top of being awful, Bash-Bro Bro cost us a HoFer. Here’s a cool article from Sando on the topic: https://www.espn.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/16981/draft-room-tale-dan-mcgwire-or-brett-favre

How are you feeling about the Roster RN?

If it were simply players, in absence of contracts, Fields might be the better get. But he's expensive this year, and prohibitively so if you want to keep him in '25. Howell, at $1M/per for the next two years makes so much more sense. Fields is a one-year guy wherever he goes

How are you feeling about the Roster RN?

It depends on the expectations. So far as fielding a competitive team: I am cautiously optimistic. I believe the offense is an interior lineman or two from having well-above average potential, and I think the D looks significantly better with competent coordinators. I understand the...

    Sam Howell is Geno's Backup!!

The math on the trade value crunches as follows: Seattle gives: #78 - 200 points, and 152 - 31 points: Total 231 Washington gives #102 - 92 points, and 179 - 20 points: Total 112 Difference is 119 points, which equates to 95th or 96th overall pick (end of round 3)

    Sam Howell is Geno's Backup!!

I like the trade a lot. Young, serviceable, affordable back-up. Under contract for two more years. A year of NFL starting experience where he showed potential despite playing in a terrible situation. Fills a pressing need at QB2, and brings in a guy with decent upside. And all it costs...

    Go get Justin Fields!

I like Fields, but I don't think it pencil's out. Geno's probably the better starter right now (and we're financially committed for '24), and Fields is either a free agent next season, or you pay $25M for his fifth-year option.

PFF Team Grades For The 2023 Season

Do those defensive numbers look off to anyone else? I really like PFF, but I'm having a hell of a time buying #10 in coverage or #15 D overall. Our pass D was top 1/3 last year? Really?

Report: Geno told he will be retained in 2024

Failure to escape purgatory ends with a descent into hell. And because of this consequence you sit, until you’re all but certain the savior has arrived. John knows what he’s doing. He was in on Mahomes and in on Allen. He found Russ late. Geno is the guy right now not because he’s the...

    Salary Cap- Cap Increase

Hopefully you’re right on Leonard. And I didn’t mean to imply expectations of any “big” signings; more so that there will be room a few subtle tweaks here and there.

    Salary Cap- Cap Increase

And just like that, $13M in cap space. Still not enough to make a huge splash in free agency (the 'Hawks are 22nd in relative space), but with a cut here, a re-work there, it's enough to remain competitive while mildly overhauling the roster.

Hawks expected to release Jamal Adams? (Click Bait)

I don’t entirely disagree. My position is based on optimism associated with MacDonald’s creativity and Jamaal’s pass rush ability. Is there any salary you’d pay to see him in the new scheme?

Hawks expected to release Jamal Adams? (Click Bait)

Back to the main point of the article, which is whether or not Adams is cut, I think the best possible outcome is some nature of rework. Jamaal appears to want to be here, he likely has very little value on the open market, and he's due somewhere in the neighborhood of $20M in bonus there's no...
