    Is the draft still necessary?

    What about assigning a dollar value to every draft slot? That money is then used to have a live auction. I know it will never happen, but I think it would be fun as hell to watch. Teams could still trade picks to gain money. Trading following year picks would be difficult.

    I don't see why they would extend his contract right now. He is under contract for another 4 years at very favorable terms for the 49ers. Before anybody says that he isn't making enough and he should be compensated, the Niners front loaded his contract big time. His cap number in 2009 was 14...
