    Inside Seahawks Draft (John Boyle)

Not a ton to glean from this years deep-dive that hasn't been reported, but fun nonetheless. Wonder which top-10 selection didn't have a first round grade from us. McCarthy? Penix medical red flag perhaps?

    Chevan Cordeiro

I think in the intermediate, he's doing the thing where he tries to derive all of the power from his arm instead of getting appropriate rotation throughout his entire body. Leads to flaccid throws with no additional torque on them. Would also make sense that his deep throws look better than his...

    Chevan Cordeiro

    Yeah, that makes sense.

    Chevan Cordeiro

We talkin' Cordeiro or Streveler? I thought both of them had noodles initially, but then they'll uncork one randomly that shows they've got untapped oomph. Check out Cordeiro at :30 here. Some legit strength there. Most guys with average arms, you'll see the ball hang a little bit...

    Chevan Cordeiro

Oh, dude. I just figured out who he reminds me of. I knew McGough wasn't my actual first choice comp, but I couldn't place it before. Chris Streveler.

    #6 Sam Howell

Washington let him go because they weren't guaranteed the chance to draft at #2 overall in the future and Howell hadn't seized the reins as a franchise player. He's a backup, but there's some potential with a bit of coaching.

    Chevan Cordeiro

It's NFL strong, it just isn't strong enough to be a draw all on its own like it is for, say, Milton. I'd put it roughly at Sam Howell's level. They kind of push the vertical boundaries similarly

    Chevan Cordeiro

He's basically Alex McGough with a little more speed and a little less arm. That's my comp, anyway. I don't think he's better than Rattler or Milton. Milton is bigger, faster, and has more arm with similar issues (his game doesn't flow like a professionals). Rattler obviously less talented...

    ATTENTION ALL ……

As a former member of the moderation team, I will say now that this is a good idea to cut out the scourge of spam and ad-bot posts that make their way onto the forum. My recommendation would be to start it at 10 posts and step it up in increments of 10 as needed to curtail the spam. This will...

Do you believe this about Russell Wilson?

Yes, I absolutely believe it and I think it was fairly obvious. He can run exactly one offense, and there's absolutely a reason why our offense kept returning to the same exact thing (in terms of philosophy and certain playcalling tendencies) during Russell's tenure here. He's not a processor...

    How soon?

So do plenty of other quarterbacks. There was a severe downturn in passing production this year. CJ Stroud threw 23. Mahomes threw 27 (on 100 more attempts than Geno). Herbert threw 20 and Hurts threw 23. We've been down this road before. Geno is the only quarterback you slam for this while you...

Who said this year is a team rebuild ?

Besides an entirely new coaching staff. ...and two new starting linebackers. .......and two new tight ends. ..........and a new starter at both safety spots regardless of who wins the competitions. ............and probably a new rotational nose tackle in Hankins.

    How soon?

I answered Geno Smith because I ain't no quitter. I actually do think we could get close if we put together a team like Detroit's. That culture, that attitude, that physical play. I think Geno is at least as talented as Goff is, straight up. Geno also apparently has the clutch gene. Developed...

    #6 Sam Howell

I am known as a Geno fan, but I don't think Howell is without merit. He reminds me of a really interesting mix of Baker Mayfield and Russell Wilson. Sure, last year wasn't pretty. He took almost 70 sacks, and he did it with a line that was as good or even slightly better than ours when it came...

    #6 Sam Howell

We had a worse OL last year when it came to allowing pressure, to be fair. Most of those sacks were straight up on Howell. That's a fixable issue, but it was definitely significantly in part due to his play.
